CenterPoint Energy and Entergy are providing updates on power outages in the Houston area. As of Monday, Centerpoint Energy is reporting 2,186,389 customers are affected by outages. Entergy is reporting 1,086,123 customers are without power.
Both companies are working to restore power as quickly as possible. CenterPoint Energy has deployed more than 2,000 crews to work on the outages. Entergy has deployed more than 1,500 crews.
Customers can track the status of outages in their area using the interactive maps provided by CenterPoint Energy and Entergy. Customers can also sign up for outage alerts from both companies.
The power outages are the result of severe weather that hit the Houston area on Sunday. The storms brought high winds and heavy rain, which caused downed trees and power lines.
